Ellen DeGeneres Cuts All US Ties By Listing This Montecito Property

    March 23, 20253 Mins Read

Ellen DeGeneres Cuts All US Ties By Listing This Montecito PropertyEllen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were among the celebrities that fled the US following Donald Trump’s Presidential election win in 2024.

At the time, it was predicted that she and de Rossi might possibly return after Trump’s tenure is over – like most other celebrities that have fled the country for this very reason have said – but it’s starting to seem as if the joys of the English countryside might be strong enough to keep the talk show host and her spouse there for the rest of their days.

Here’s the shocking move she made to confirm this.

Ellen DeGeneres Lists Her Last Remaining US Residence On the Market

DeGeneres and de Rossi may just be a few months into their surprising move to England – trading California’s sunshine in the process – but they’re seemingly already convinced that nothing will be dragging them back to the US anytime soon.

How do I know? Well it’s just the little fact that they’re selling their last remaining US property, and after that it’s finish.

Said property is a bungalow located near the Montecito beach. With the bungalow being just a few steps from Butterfly Beach, it’s obviously a place where the talk show host and the ‘Arrested Development’ actress would have likely have a lot of fun visiting in the past.

It may be the last man standing, but in the past, DeGeneres and de Rossi have owned many other heftier priced properties in different parts of California that have either already been listed or sold. Among them are two impressive Montecito properties with a price range of more than $30 million.

Everything We Know About Ellen DeGeneres’ Listed Montecito Beach Property

Per Riskin Partners Estate Group, the lavish property was originally built in the 1950s but was remodeled in 2012. The pictures show that the house underwent a complete renovation, though interior experts aimed to keep to its mid-century expert roots by way of décor.

Even though there are far more impressive properties around the beach property, DeGeneres and Portia’s is not so shabby, even though it comes with just two bedrooms and two bathrooms, suggesting that it’s built as a more intimate residence than a luxury mansion.

Nevertheless, it comes with a chef-style kitchen, complete with Portuguese limestone countertops and a private terrace. Its primary suite features a spa-like bathroom and free-standing bath.

The best part of the home, in my opinion, is the assortment of fruit trees, tall palms and greenery, which gives it an artistic but natural feel.
