Lucy Duthler and Emma Kinsel recently received their Silver Award pins at a special awards ceremony at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The girls are members of Girl Scout Troop 1033. Their Silver project was putting up a three-month display of Scout memorabilia and uniforms, pictures and history at the Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan. Lucy and Emma would like to thank the Besser Museum and staff, including Christine Witulski, Matt Klimczak, and Sarah Honeycutt for all their help and support. They also want to thank the Alpena County Library and Don LaBarre for his wonderful assistance. The Silver Award is the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Troop Leaders are Trudy Mousseau and Bronwyn Woolman.
