Delaware Agricultural Museum awarded $75,000 federal grant

    August 7, 20241 Min Read

DOVER, Del. – A number of museums in Delaware are getting federal grant funding.

Among the awardees is the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village. The Museum will be receiving $75,000 that will go toward new interactive exhibits, demonstrating how renewable energy, like wind and water, is an integral part of both the history and future of agriculture.

“This grant will help us work on the windmill that we have and create exhibition materials and educational materials about renewable alternative energy such as water and wind, which really go back in history,” said Executive Director Dr. Christiane Warren.

Museum officials added that as part of their program they will be working on the new exhibits in collaboration with students from the University of Delaware, as well as local high school students.
